How to Use the Voice Analyzer
Using the tool only takes a few steps.

What the Voice Analyzer Measures
The analyzer combines several measurements so you can understand your voice from more than one angle.
Fundamental frequency (F0) is the main repeating frequency associated with the perceived pitch of a voiced sound. It is displayed in Hertz, or Hz.
Musical note detection converts the measured frequency into the nearest note and octave, such as A3 or C4. If you want to convert values manually, use the Hz to Note Converter or reverse the calculation with the Note to Frequency Converter.
Cents deviation shows how far the detected pitch is from the nearest equal-tempered musical note. A result near zero cents means the pitch is close to the center of that note, while positive or negative values indicate that it is sharper or flatter.
Pitch stability reflects how much your detected pitch varies during a sample. This can be useful when practicing sustained notes, but it should not be interpreted as a medical or professional vocal-quality score.
Lowest and highest detected notes summarize the extremes recorded during your current session. Their distance can also be expressed in semitones or octaves.
How to Read Your Voice Analysis
A live pitch number naturally moves because the human voice is not perfectly static. Even when you try to sustain one note, small changes in airflow, vocal-fold vibration, articulation, and intentional vibrato can shift the detected frequency.
For that reason, your average and median pitch can sometimes be more useful than a single instantaneous measurement, especially when analyzing speech.

Your lowest and highest detected pitches should also be interpreted carefully. A brief noisy measurement, vocal fry, breathy sound, or unstable onset may produce a value that does not represent a comfortable usable note.

Speaking and singing create different kinds of pitch data.
During normal speech, pitch changes constantly with phrasing, emphasis, questions, emotion, and sentence structure. A speaking analysis is therefore more useful when you look at a collection of measurements rather than trying to identify one permanent pitch.
