# Voice Type Test

> Compare comfortable singing endpoints with overlapping voice-type reference spans using manual notes or live microphone input.

Voice Type Test lets singers enter known comfortable low and high notes or capture those endpoints with live microphone pitch detection. It calculates note frequencies, semitone distance and octave span, then compares the range with illustrative voice-type spans. Results can be copied or exported as numeric CSV data.

The comparison describes how note spans overlap. It provides a starting point for discussing comfortable repertoire, rather than evaluating every aspect of a singer's voice.
